Spirulina is a microscopic cyanobacterium, also known as a microalgae or blue-green algae. It grows in water and functions like a plant through photosynthesis. It reproduces by cell division when growing conditions are optimal, as they are in our greenhouses in Saxon, Valais. It is an exceptional superfood, rich in plant-based protein, iron, vitamins, trace elements and minerals.<\/p>\n

Our Swiss spirulina is grown without pesticides or GMOs, then dried at a low temperature to preserve all of its nutrients. This food supplement is suitable for the whole family: pregnant women, children, older adults, athletes, vegetarians, vegans and even pets. For a course of spirulina, we recommend taking 3 to 5 grams of Spiruline-Valais flakes each day. Simply add one teaspoon in the morning, sprinkled on toast or mixed into bircher muesli with fruit juice, for an energising start to the day. One 100 g bag of Spiruline-Valais is enough for a one-month course.<\/p>\n
